Physical Therapy for Neck Pain

What Causes Neck Pain?

Neck pain is very common and has several causes, including muscle strain or tension, which could stem from poor posture or sleeping in an awkward position. Other causes include whiplash from falls or car accidents, arthritis, and fibromyalgia. One way to treat neck pain or prevent it from getting worse is by doing physical therapy. Our team of therapists will assess the extent of your pain and create a personalized treatment plan.

How We Can Help Treat Your Neck Pain

Traditional modalities are utilized to initially address pain and promote relaxation.  Our knowledge and experience and the information you provide us with helps to further address pain and develop an individual treatment plan.  Hands on techniques including massage, myofascial release, and mobilization will be provided as well an appropriate exercise plan.  Discussion and education are needed to gain insights into what modifications we can make to your home or work station to improve posture and reduce static stressors on your neck.  At Advanced Physical Therapy we will assess your response to treatment and make modifications to the treatment plan when appropriate.
